Website privacy

This page covers firstsilence.games, our studio website and private playtest downloads.

A simple website

These pages do not use advertising pixels, analytics scripts, account registration forms, or newsletter tracking. Images and styles are served from our own website. The website does not set its own tracking cookies.

Hosting and security

DigitalOcean hosts the website. Cloudflare handles traffic delivery and security. These providers process connection information such as IP addresses and request details to deliver and protect the service. Cloudflare may use cookies or similar measures for security.

Private downloads

Playtest downloads require access credentials. They are sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Server access logs for those downloads are disabled. The public website is separate from game saves and game accounts.

Games and the preview economy

The Last Web Android playtest currently keeps gameplay progress on your device. A separate preview economy service is being tested; it is not connected to the installed offline game and does not accept real-money purchases. Before connected accounts or purchases become part of the game, their data handling and recovery options will be explained in the game.
